Oral presentation in small group tutorials

This assessment activity is designed to prepare third year students for a career in research and is aimed at inspiring independence of thought. Students are asked to read one or two given journal articles or research papers and answer four questions, based on their content. (see handout below) Then students work in pairs to give a short presentation to eight members of the class. The presentation answers one of the questions provided by the tutor.
